It's Time To Focus On What We Love

I like trying new things.  I've tried candle-making, stand-up paddle-boarding, snow-skiing, volleyball, playing an instrument, learning a language and much more.  As I move through my life, knowing that where I place my attention is what I become, I question if I need to STOP trying new things and START focusing on building up the two or three things that I really love.

So, how do I choose what to focus on?  I definitely don't want to jump into this decision-making process too quickly.   I don't want to make my choices based on what others think I should be doing with my life.   Nor, do I want to make my choices based on my ego.

"If I choose this, I will look more successful."   OR, "If I choose this, I will impress so many people."

Maybe my choices come back to living my purpose here in this life.

In Deepak Chopra's book, The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success, the Law of Dharma says that "you have a unique talent and a unique way of expressing it.  There is something that you can do better than anyone else in the whole world - and for every unique talent and unique expression of that talent, there are also unique needs.  When these needs are matched with the creative expression of your talent, that is the spark that creates affluence."

If that's true, then choosing the activities that I focus on should start with one question.  How can the activities that I choose best help others live their purpose?

The other question that Deepak suggests we ask is, "if money was no object and you had all the time and money in the world, what would you do?"

These are big questions that will take a bit of time and contemplation but I can now put first things first and start clearing out the clutter of things that do NOT bring me joy.  By starting there, I can uncover what I really LOVE to do.  And, I can move in the direction of co-creating a life that is more beautiful than anything I can imagine.

So, find out what YOU love and start to live the life of your dreams.

Today, I set the intention that I easily uncover what is mine to do and what is NOT mine to do, knowing that the Universe will always support me in creating a life well-lived.

"Discover your divinity, find your unique talent, serve humanity with it,
and you can generate all the wealth that you want."

"It's not the career you choose, the friend you marry, or the path you take
that determines success or happiness in life, but that each day, in some
small way, you seek to amaze as much as be amazed."

Affirmative Prayer:
In this moment, there is a sufficiency of grace, of love, of power and of peace.  This sufficiency is revealed in recognizing there is only One.  One Divine Presence that is always the same, never changing and always guiding to bigger and brighter expressions of Itself.

As this Divine Presence expresses through me, I am filled with wonder and amazement at the perfection of knowing this truth.  I am never separate from my good, always a part of Source Energy that gives me the strength to expand and the potential to co-create a life of Divine purpose.

As I co-create, I say Yes! to ideas that move me in the direction of doing what I love.  I am not defined by what I have done in my past but can look back and see that I am now guided to make better choices, to choose activities that inspire and motivate me.  I embrace the Divine Presence and Power of the Universe and I allow my path to be directed by an infinite Source of unconditional Love, affirming that something meaningful and beautiful is seeking to emerge through me and as me.  My gifts and talents are enough.  I am enough.  And I welcome more situations and experiences that bring me evidence of that very fact.

I give thanks for the perfect life that is being revealed daily as I make choices from a place of love.  And, I am filled with deep gratitude as I see the good that is being made manifest as ideas are put into action.  I am so thankful that as Spirit express through me, there is a ripple effect that reaches out and touches others lives, moving them to create a life well-lived.

From this place of gratitude and rejoicing, I release my Word to the Divine Action of the Law, knowing it is done.  I am alive and filled with joy.  And I let it be so.  And so it is!

Turning Your Dreams Into Reality

"We are at liberty to choose what manner of life we shall live.  We should feel that in this choice we are backed by all the will, all the purpose and all the law in the universe."  Ernest Holmes said this in the book, How To Use The Science Of Mind.   Wow, how awesome is that!

I get to choose how I create my life.  By learning to use my thoughts and my feelings, I get to not only create a life that works but I am supported by the Universe in the process.

It's so easy to say that and another thing to actually believe that statement.  One reason it might be hard to believe is that if I buy into this concept, that means I also must take responsibility for what I'm creating.

Ugh, responsibility.  That's one of those words that my monkey mind loves to toss around - and toss out!  One of the many voices in my head (and there are a few - a whole committee sometimes!) loves to play the victim.

It's not my fault I'm late paying a bill - I had to pay way too much in taxes to the government.

OR, it's not my fault I missed an important deadline - my boss makes it impossible for me to stay on top of things.

The TRUTH is that there are other voices in my head that I can choose to listen to instead of letting my inner victim rule the day.  I can choose to hit 'pause' on my critic and hit 'play' on my inner mystic.

My inner mystic says that I can let go of jealousy and worry and fear; those will keep me stuck - affirm and FEEL love and faith and trust instead.

My inner mystic says to tap into my imagination and create new thoughts that support the life of my dreams.

And - my inner mystic says think thoughts that bring joy and happiness - the Universe is here to support me and fill my life with unlimited possibilities.

Ernest Holmes also states that "man not only has a right to individualize creative power, nature has imposed this necessity upon him....his thought will always be creative, whether he knows it or not."

So, if my thought will always create my life, I guess it's time that I DO take responsibility and start creating a life of endless opportunities for abundance; a life of beautiful, meaningful relationships; and a life of powerful service to other people I share this journey with.

There is more to my life than I can imagine and it's my choice where it goes from here.

Today, I set the intention to use my thoughts to create a life that is filled with unlimited potential and possibilities for joy, abundance, prosperity and happiness, knowing that the Universe is here to support me in that reality.

"We are all spiritual and mental broadcasting stations.  There is a Silent Force flowing
from us in every direction at all times.  How necessary it is that we assume the role
of the announcer and broadcaster.  How necessary that we write our own program
 and deliver it ourselves."

"Tomorrow is the most important day of your life.  Your greatest moment, your greatest
achievement, your greatest adventure lies in the future, never in the past. There is a
new you waiting to be created tomorrow.  That is the joy and wonder of the dawn.
That is the excitement of it!"

Affirmative Prayer:
In the beauty of the morning sunrise and the endless renewing of life, there is only One - One Divine Mind, One Divine Presence.  This Presence moves with a power and a grace that brings joy to all that exists in this moment now.

Acknowledging the joy and the grace and the power, I embrace this Divine Presence as It flows through me, expressing as me.  I align with the harmony that I call the Universe, Spirit, God and I am aware of the unfolding of something beautiful that is seeking to emerge.

Knowing that my thoughts are always creating, I welcome the blossoming of ideas that become form in ways that sometimes seem impossible.  As I let go of any thoughts of fear and step into more thoughts of a life filled with joy and prosperity, new opportunities for joy and prosperity seem to appear miraculously through serendipitous circumstances.  I am free to choose happiness and abundance, trusting that Spirit knows what is for my highest and best good and is directing me from that place in all things.

With deep gratitude, I watch in delight as my life is filled with more and more joy and happiness.  I am so thankful for the prosperity and abundance that is manifested in ways even better than I can imagine.  And I am grateful that I simply need to focus my thoughts and my imagination on wonderful possibilities and the Universe backs me up with the manifestation of thought into form.

With a grateful heart, I release my Word to the Divine Action of the Law, knowing it is already done. It is a beautiful day to be alive and my life is blessed.  And I let it be so.  And so it is!

Can You Let Your Future Take Care Of Itself?

In the book, What Would You Do If You Had No Fear, by Diane Conway, it talks about looking for evidence of miracles as you push through your fear.   It made me wonder tho', if I'm spending time looking for evidence that my prayers are manifesting, am I also expecting them to show up looking exactly as they are in my imagination?  And, am I missing the true blessings that are unfolding in the present moment?

For me, it can be easy each day to jump into chasing my dreams - setting goals and making task lists and spending time visioning the desired outcome.  I feel so accomplished when I can look back at the challenges I overcame that day to get just a bit farther toward what I believe is my perfect life.

But - as I chase my dreams, it can also be easy for me to lose sight of the truth that the Universe is co-creating.   So, rather than continue to chase and push and prod, can I simply let go and trust that what is being created in my life is exactly what is right for me?  Can I be comfortable with the way something shows up, even when it's different than I pictured?  Easier said than done - definitely!

Trust requires that I step out in faith and be open to the possibility of failure, open to the possibility of rejection, open to the possibility of looking bad in front of others.   And, I know that all of those may happen but I'm starting to recognize that time spent worrying about what might happen is pointless, really.

So, to diminish the fear of the "what if?" syndrome, the book recommends making a plan and then, letting go.  Continue to take action and then let the future take care of itself.  Ask what you can learn from the situation you faced.  And, appreciate every minute of the experience.

I would add one additional step which I feel has been the actual answered prayer in my life - to have fun!  The more joy I put into an activity, even if it doesn't work out, the more I look back and treasure that moment in time.  And, the more fun I'm having in the moment, the more I am creating that reality going forward.

So, today, I set the intention to trust that the Universe is always providing for me, in right and perfect ways, and I can be at peace - and having fun - in every moment.

What are some ways you let go and let the future take care of itself?

"Let us be of good cheer, remembering that the misfortunes hardest to bear
 are those which never come."

"Every seed has an angel that bends down and whispers, Grow, grow."

Affirmative Prayer:
As the day comes to a close and the sky is colored in reds and purples from the evening sunset, it brings a remembering that there is only One; One Divine Source available each and every day, celebrating all that has happened as life ebbs and flows; One Divine Intelligence that extends love and welcomes the opportunity for a new day to begin with possibilities for expansion.

Remembering this truth, I jump for joy as the One Mind expresses through me and and as me.  I live my life to the fullest and Source, Spirit, the Universe, guides me from within in ways that are powerful and vibrate with opportunities for greatness.

Stepping into the Divine abundance of my life, I affirm the truth that the Universe is my source.  And I welcome the chance to run and jump and play as my life is up-leveled to new potentials for growth.  I know the transformation that is happening is blessed and beautiful and is revealed in Divine perfect timing.  I plant the seed of possibility and the Universe takes care of the unfolding, as effortlessly as the night sky is populated with stars.

With absolute gratitude, I align with the perfection of my life path.  I am so thankful for the peace of mind that allows me to sleep like a baby each night.  And I am grateful for the guidance of Spirit that always says Yes!

From this place of gratitude, I release my Word to the Divine Action of the Law, knowing it is already done, in powerful, amazing ways.  And I let it be so.  And so it is!

Living Our Dreams IS Closer Than We Think

"Sometimes we don't know what we want; we only know that our present life doesn't quite fit anymore."  That statement from the book, What Would You Do If You Had No Fear, explains the exact feeling I have been holding onto for about a year now.

At this point, it seems that, not only is it becoming part of my usual story, but I'm attracting people who can substantiate my story as well.  Maybe that's why I am enjoying this book so much.  I'm not crystal clear on what I want but I'm sure what holds me back from trying something different is fear.

Fear of not being able to pay the bills.  Fear of not being good enough.  Fear of failure.

I know some of this is my ego talking.  Ego always seems to sneak in and tell me that I am different - others might be successful taking action toward their dreams but not me.  So, clearly, there is some healing that I still need to do.

But - I know the truth of who I am.

It's easy to lose sight of the truth that everything is in Divine Order.  Everything is what we hold in conciousness.  There are no exceptions.  So, what will it take to listen and really get that truth?

I need to drop back into my heart and start to feel it.   And, I need to honor that feeling.  I need to see that there is an audience for my gifts and talents.  And, I need to show up each day and demonstrate that the Universe is creating through me.

There is a beautiful story in What Would You Do?   It talks about Todd and how putting himself out there with his music changed his life.  By taking the step to begin voice lessons, it led him to some initial success in theater productions and to singing on stage.

More than that, when his career change to music went through some rough times, he faced his doubts, recognized the value of his gifts and busted through to an even better offer working with some talented people.

What Todd learned, and what I am learning, is that I am not powerless.  Something inside me knows what I need to do and my job is to listen and align with that.

Every day is an opportunity to create my life.  What I can dream and imagine and play and wish for is limitless to the extent that I believe it is.  So, every day becomes a choice to believe and to remember that I am here to do magnificent work.

So, what is YOUR wish for your life?  Can you find a class or a coach and begin taking action toward your dreams?

Today, I set my intention to rediscover some of my dreams and pleasures and take at least one step toward them, knowing I am in charge of my life.

"...and then they day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud
was more painful than the risk it took to blossom."
~Anais Nin

"You can only recognize what is within you.  If you are able to recognize
something of the Divine presence and power within a holy person, it is that same
presence and power within yourself that is recognizing."
~ Tau Malachi

Affirmative Prayer:
In this present moment, as the birds sing and the breeze blows, there is a Power that creates and a Source that sustains all that is.  It is filled with love and with light and with  a magnificent energy that surrounds and uplifts with every exhalation of breath.

This Source is calling my name, seeking to work through me in wonderful expressions of abundance, of joy, and of happiness.  It is such a prominent Power that moves in and as me, it brings tears to my eyes and a smile to my face.  It is always present and always available and I say Yes! as I tap into this Oneness with Life.

Accepting this goodness, I choose to create a life that is filled with passion, knowing that my unique gifts and talents are yearning to be shared.  I step onto my path, reveling in experiences that bring me closer to living my dreams.  And, I claim my power to move with conviction in my actions, welcoming the everyday miracles that shower upon me as I make Divinely guided choices.

I am filled with gratitude as Spirit works through me, creating an amazing journey that is my life.  And I give great thanks for the dreams and the gifts that are expressed as I lean into the Divine.  I am grateful for the courage to step into the miracles, trusting that I am blessed each step of they way.

Infused with gratitude, I release my Word to the Divine Action of the Law, knowing it is already done in magnificent ways.  Life is good!  And I let it be so.  And so it is!

Can't-Miss Tip To Uncover Genius

How I show up in the world matters.  And I have always tried to be respectful of others without forgetting that I am important too.

Some days, though, I have felt that I just needed to vent and complain and grumble. Then the lousy feelings inside of me would disappear.  I was sure of it.

But, what I noticed is when I complained to a friend about how another person was impacting me or if I shared how much it stinks to get cut off in traffic, I only felt more frazzled.  I did not feel comforted by my ranting or validated by my certainty that I was right.

So, I'm trying a new approach.  It's something simple that I borrowed from the book, The Power of Intention by Dr. Wayne Dyer.  I am looking for the genius in everything and everyone.

This week, I was commuting back and forth between San Jose and San Francisco.  I don't often have to deal with traffic and drivers who are in their own world and rainy weather that creates accidents.  So, it was the perfect opportunity to practice my new technique.

Each morning, I took a minute as I pulled out of the driveway to breathe and remember my intention.  I put on music that I enjoyed and focused on simply being in my car and driving.

I wish I could say that this alone created a smooth drive, however, that's not how the Universe works, right?  Once you make a declaration, the Universe give us a chance to practice.

Sure enough, there were drivers that needed to pull into my lane at the last minute without signaling.  And there were drivers going so sloooow, in the past, it would have made me crazy.

But, not this time.  As I focused on seeing the possibilities of greatness, it was easy to kindly make room for the driver to slip in front of me.  And, I stopped noticing that there were huge gaps between the car in front me and the car in front of them.

The difference this made in how I felt when I arrived at my destination was amazing!  I was more calm and peaceful and just had a general "feel-good" vibe about me that I can't explain.

The most noticeable result -  one day I ended up being 10 minutes late and, prior to my experiment, I would have been berating myself for not anticipating delays and for not leaving earlier.  This time, however, I somehow knew it was okay that I was late.

As I walked into the conference center, I simply said a quick apology and got down to work.   No one said a word that my being late was an issue.  Not even my boss.  For me, that was huge!

I can't explain how this all works from the simple act of setting an intention.  And, I know that it won't always be this way.  There will still be moments when I forget to cultivate this behavior within myself.  But, I am sure going to make the effort to use this in more and more areas of my life.

That is my hope - that this becomes something I do so naturally, it is now a part of who I am and how I live my life on a regular basis.

So, has anyone else experienced times when choosing to see things differently has created something unexplainable?

Today, I set the intention to allow the Universe to support me in making choices and decisions that uncover the genius in everyone.

"Tell others about their genius.  Be as complimentary and authentic
as you can.  In doing so, you'll radiate loving, kind, abundant,
creative energy.  In a universe that operates on energy
and attraction, you'll find these same qualities returning to you."
~Dr. Wayne Dyer, The Power of Intention

"I shall pass through this world but once.  Any good therefore
that I can do or any kindness that I can show to any human being, let me
do it now.  Let me not defer or neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again."

Affirmative Prayer:
Going within, there is a radiant goodness, a brilliant light, an unconditional love that is all part of the Divine Intelligence.  This Intelligence is a dynamic force for beauty, for joy, for wisdom, for grace.

In the stillness, this Divine Intelligence moves through me, revealing what is right and what is beautiful in every moment of my day.  And with each action that I take, the excellence of Divine Wisdom guides my steps, expressing the vision that Spirit has for Its life as Sandy.  I am lifted to a higher level of Divine Insight and I am filled with faith as this Insight surrounds me with purpose and with strength.

And it is with purpose and strength that I claim the fullness of Life that is always available in every situation.  I welcome the uncovering of the sparks of genius in everyone that I meet and I allow those sparks to ignite into lives filled with passion and with magnificence.  Declaring that good and more good is right where I am, I make choices that prosper my finances and I make decisions that expose the love in all of my relationships.  I accept the feeling of newness and wonder that my life has as I wake each day, trusting that the Universe has my back in all things.

I am so grateful for the insight of Spirit that brings a calm and a peace to my choices and decisions.  And I am thankful that my purpose is clear as passion guides my steps.    I am filled with gratitude for my connection with others as we share the prosperity and the love that is our Divine birthright.

With great thanks, I release my Word to the Divine Action of the Law, knowing it is already done.  Life is good!  And I let it be so.  And so it is.
