Let Go Or Go Crazy

As I get closer to leaving on a 10-day vacation, I'm noticing the more anxious I get.  I'm not really clear why that is because I love to travel.  The only thought that comes to me is to practice simply letting go.

Maybe I'm anxious that the travel will be difficult.  Or that things won't quite work out as I hope.  Or that the weather will create delays and I'll be stuck in the airport.

So, I'm spending time visualizing how wonderful and amazing everything is going to work out.  I'm sinking into the feeling that my trip will flow with ease and that something wonderful will always be on the verge of happening.

More than that, I'm writing this post so I can set an intention that this trip will be filled with good times and miracles.  And, I'm writing the prayer in this post so that I can anchor that intention in place...and then, let it go.

Have YOU ever had those feelings of anxiety when something big is going on in your life?

Today, I set the intention that my trip to Mexico and Panama is divinely guided every step of the way, and I need only turn within in moments of anxiety and all will be well.

"The real voyage of discovery is not in seeking new places, but in seeing with new eyes."

"Magical places are always beautiful and deserve to be contemplated...always stay
on the bridge between the invisible and the visible."

Affirmative Prayer:
Sitting patiently in this moment, the Divine whispers of Life can be heard; softly, gently, calm and filled with love.  It is an Infinite Intelligence that is prosperity and abundance, guiding toward success and a glorious unfolding of day upon day, minute upon minute.

Knowing I am one with this Infinite Intelligence, I allow my life to flow with ease and grace.  I am the beloved of Spirit, moving through life on a fantastic adventure, supported by a Creative Wisdom that wants only my best.

Affirming that my best is always at hand, I let go of any thought of anxiety or fear and instead, surrender to the peace that is always within.  I breathe and relax into the awareness that there is so much to see in this life and that I am lavishly supported to step out and explore.  And from this knowing, I can embrace each step of the journey - a safe and smooth flight to Mexico, a wonderful experience with the airlines as I continue on to Panama and a joyous time is had with each person I encounter.  There is only the beauty of each individual's self-expression and I get to be a part of that in every leg of my trip.

I am filled with gratitude for the financial means and freedom that have made this trip possible.  I give thanks for the blessings of Spirit as I travel from country to country.  And I am so grateful that I need only draw from the Infinite Wisdom available in each moment to know that I am safe and protected.

From this place of deep gratitude and love, I release my word to the Divine Action of the Law, knowing it is already done.  A new adventure is always available and on its way to me right now.  And I let it be so.  And so it is.

Sidestep Stressful Thinking

Some days, I let the grind of life really get to me.  And, while I would like to blame outside factors - my work, the errands I need to run, the laundry that needs to be done - it's really ME who's creating the stress in my day.

I tell myself the story that cleaning the house is boring so I'll do it later.  And, I determine that getting home to walk the dog is much more important than staying late to file away completed work.  And, I continue to eat out, blaming lack of time to get to the grocery store and stock up on healthy food.

Rather than look for the good in what I'm putting off, I ignore it or neglect it.  I can complain all that I want but, in the long run, it's only me who gets increasingly irritated as files overflow on my desk or as I put on weight due to calorie-heavy restaurant food.

I believe I have gotten lost in the "I can do it all myself" rabbit hole.  I worry that if I hire someone to clean the house, it will be too expensive.  I feel guilty if I pay someone else to walk the dog as if I'm neglecting him somehow.  Plus, is it really in my budget?

Good 'ol money worries.  So, I just do it all myself.

What I've forgotten is that the Universe is really about reciprocity.  I have found work that I enjoy and get paid pretty well for.

So, why shouldn't I pay our neighborhood friend to walk the dog, allowing him the same feeling of accomplishment I do about my work.

Or, why shouldn't I hire a house-cleaning service to come in twice a month, allowing them to earn an income.

The Universe is not just MY source for all things but everyone else's as well.  When I look at it from that perspective, and trust that as I create workability in my life, I am opening up possibilities for others as well, there is a shift that happens.

There is a bubbling up of faith that shows me how I have always been provided for, and I can let go of the thinking that I can't afford to pay someone else.

There is no lack in life.  I can truly let life be easy, with the promise that as I open to receive, I make space for others to give and be in service.

What the heck - maybe I'll stop and scoop up some flowers tonight to brighten up my home.  Who knows what impact that will have on my local florist and beyond.

So, where are you making life difficult for yourself?

Today, I set the intention to let go of my struggles and bring more joy into my life by realizing there is good for everyone when I don't try to do it all myself.

"Let us seek wholeness above all else."
~Ernest Holmes, The Science of Mind

"The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new
landscapes but in having new eyes."

Affirmative Prayer:
Staring up into the afternoon sky, as the clouds drift gently and softly, there is the recognition of the One Divine Source.  It is the abundance of nature that blooms effortlessly and it is the spectacular colors of the evening sunset that reveal the beauty of the Infinite Intelligence that is Life.

This Allness of Life is the indwelling Spirit that feels what I feel and expresses as me in all that I do.  I am a brilliant masterpiece of Divine Love, open to receive the joy the Universe is showering down on me in every moment of the day.

Embracing this joy and happiness, I let go having to fight against life and surrender to the ease and grace that guides my steps.  I am directed to my highest and best potential each day, trusting that all of my needs are met.  It is so effortless for me to live a life of reciprocity, giving from my heart and receiving the abundance that is my Divine birthright.  I am fully supported by Spirit as I dig deep and know that I don't have to do it all myself.  My life is filled with peace and I simply live my life the best I know how in each moment, welcoming each new experience with open arms.

I am humbly and deeply grateful for the prosperity that flows to me as I give up stress and strife.  I am thankful that I sleep so well each night, in faith that I am working WITH the Universe and moving toward my good.  And I give great thanks that anything I need is provided for in beautiful and amazing ways.

From this sufficiency of grace, I release my word to the Divine Action of the Law, knowing it is already done.  I am blessed in the bounty of love and life.  And I let it be so.  And so it is.

Who Is Really In Control?

It's so easy to see success and to know that my life is thriving when I am working towards a goal.  But, now that I've completed the course work and the exams and the oral panels, and I am officially an RScP, I'm wondering what's next.

At times, its almost a little scary when I get up in the morning and think about my day.  I don't have to rush to be at the office.   I don't have to think about when I'm going to make it to the grocery store or get my laundry done or get the dog to the groomer.

My day is wide open to spend as I choose. <gulp>

Now, I LOVE that I get to choose what I will do each day.  But without a clear destination, I feel like I'm wandering and not really making a contribution to much of anything.

So, I'm back in a space of believing that I will be guided toward my next steps now that I've finished the last thing that called to me.  And, I'm trusting that the Universe is directing me to even more good than I can imagine.

As soon as those words leave my mouth - well, it makes my stomach hurt to say it out loud.  What am I thinking???  I'm the one in charge.  I'm supposed to be making things happen.  How do I take back the reins?

Since I'm feeling the need to do something, I decide to make a list.  I know that I have a unique gift and talent that is only mine to share.  For me, what works to uncover this gift is to start listing things that I'm good at.

Because -  I want to discover what I'm great at.  I'm no longer willing to settle for good - I want great.  And I believe and I trust that the Universe wants that for me too.

And as I hang on to that thought, I know I will attract the people and the situations that will move me forward.  And, I will know what I need to do each day.  And, even if it's something as small as pulling out my flute and practicing, I know THAT is what I am meant to be doing in that moment.

I believe and I trust - absolutely - that I will be directed toward being the great, unique, awesome, inspiring being that I was incarnated to be at this time.  I may not be able to see it nor am I able to say how, but I can feel that I'm moving in that direction.  And that feeling is where all the power of the Universe lays.

So, where are YOU trusting and believing that the Universe is bringing something good into your life today?

Today, I set the intention to trust that more good is available to me and I simply need to step into the feeling of it to claim it.

"If a little dreaming is dangerous, the cure for it is not to dream less,
but to dream more, to dream all the time."

"Always be a first-rate version of yourself
and not a second-rate version of someone else."

Affirmative Prayer:
As the sun sets over the hills and the day comes to a close, there is the recognition of one Creative Power and Presence behind all that is.  It glows through the rays of the orange sky, revealing a beauty and joy that is everlasting and all-encompassing.

Standing in the final glow of the setting sun, a sense of immense happiness overtakes me as I feel this Divine Power and Presence surround me, knowing I am one with the One Perfect Life.  I am a unique, individualized expression of Spirit, a creative being in my own right.

Embracing the Infinite Power that resides within, I affirm that my thoughts are a powerful force, creating a life filled with harmony and grace.  Letting go of the thought that I have to do it all myself, I welcome the guidance of the Universe, trusting that more good is always available and I simply need to claim it.  I accept the answers that are made clear as I remain open to the indwelling Spirit, having faith that my intuition is always right on the mark.  And as I tap into my feelings, I claim the limitless abundance of the Universe that is as natural as the sunrise and the sunset.

I am so grateful for the unconditional love of Spirit and I delight in my uniqueness that allows for the full expression of Spirit to shine through.  I give thanks for the ease in which good flows into my life and I am filled with gratitude for the unquestionable blessings that pour themselves over me every day.

From this place of gratitude, I release my word to the Divine Action of the Law, knowing it is already done.  I am renewed.  I am restored.  I am blessed.  And I let it be so.  And so it is.
